Call centre firm wins major contract

A leading outsource call centre business based in Norfolk has won a “major” new contract with an Irish firm.

Norwich-based OpenContact has secured a deal with the Irish marketing company Loyaltybuild to supply a booking and advice phone line for The Co-operative Food's UK holiday programme.

The value of the deal was unclear last night .

But Ron Pollin , managing director of OpenContact, said: “This is a significant piece of business for our call centre staff who specialise in the UK leisure market.

“Loyaltybuild were looking for a call centre based in the UK who would be able to advise Co-operative members about UK destinations and hotels, an area we are skilled and practiced in."

Dominic Considine , Loyaltybuild's chief executive, added: “Loyaltybuild managed programmes aim to build customer loyalty and win new customers for our clients with great holiday and leisure rewards.

“By working with OpenContact we will be providing a pool of experienced call centre staff equipped to answer location and accommodation queries across the UK on behalf of The Co-operative Food Great Breaks programme."
